For years countries have played baseball. People from all over the world play. And the World Baseball Classic is chance for players from each country to come together and play other countries. The winner of the World Baseball Classic is the country that has the best players and that country is usually Japan. Last year there was no World Baseball Classic in 2008, and 2007.
But in 2006 there was one. The winner was Japan. For all the years before that there was no World Baseball Classic.
